We are hiring at Zeit Solutions. Primarily we are looking for web developers and interface designers. We currently have a full time position based in Tralee, Co. Kerry for a web developer and have an ongoing requirement for contract based project work for experienced web developers, interface designers and internet marketing specialists.
- Co. Kerry is a great place to live and work. The Zeit Solutions offices are based in the Kerry Technology Park which is located ten minutes drive from some of the most impressive beaches, mountains, lakes and rivers in Ireland. Thirty minutes from the wonders of Killarney, Dingle and the Ring of Kerry. No evidence of the rat race as traffic flows smoothly even at rush hour!
- On the development front we look for developers who work in a Linux/Apache/PHP/PostgreSQL environment with a good experience of HTML, CSS, Ajax or Flex. Our core development strands are based on open source software. We look for individuals who are interested in building exciting, clean, search engine friendly and accessible web applications.
- In the design area we aim to create fresh, clean web experiences so we look for web designers who understand design and have a thorough understanding of user interfaces and online user experience. Designers who have experience working with Rich Internet Applications using Flex are of particular interest to us. Feel free to drop us a line and mail a CV through.

Flex Developer
This is a full time/contract position based in the Zeit Solutions offices in the Kerry Technology Park, Tralee, Co. Kerry. The successful candidate will take on the role of Flex Developer, becoming a key member of the development team with great career prospects.
We are a small web development company that produces end-to-end solutions for our clients, mainly in the media industry. Photography, news and content-based advertising are our key areas of expertise. We are passionate about providing effective, standards based applications that allow our clients to improve and expand their businesses.
Due to a full project book for 2009 we are looking to expand the development team with the addition of an extra Developer to our team, specializing in Flex. The key requirements of this role are:
- 3+ years Web development experience (PHP a distinct advantage)
- 1+ years Flex programming with Actionscript
- Thorough knowledge of XHTML, XML, CSS and Javascript
- Appreciation for good UI and creative thinking
- Good communication skills vital
- Ability to work unsupervised and function within a team environment
- Ability to flourish in a fast paced entrepreneurial environment
Desirable:
- Experience with Web Services
- Operating knowledge of Linux OS
- Experience with MySQL or SQL server

Web Developer, Tralee, Co. Kerry
This is a full time position based in the Zeit Solutions offices in the Kerry Technology Park, Tralee, Co. Kerry. The successful candidate will take on the role of Web Developer becoming a key member of the development team with great career prospects. He/she will work on upcoming projects and may also from time to time need to support existing client applications (all built in PHP).
The candidate must have at least two years commercial experience programming with PHP on a PostgreSQL or MySQL platform.
Requirements:
- Good working knowledge of PHP, MySQL/PostgreSQL
- Must be able to work proficiently in a Linux/UNIX environment
- Thorough knowledge of XHTML, XML, CSS, and Javascript
The successful candidate will:
- Have 2+ years commercial development experience, primarily utilising open source technologies.
- Have the ability to juggle multiple tasks, re-prioritise and deliver deadlines in a fast paced challenging environment.
Desirable
- A computer-science based qualification
- Experience with Adobe Flex
